Curium mit seinem etablierten Netzwerk in Frankreich ist daher ein idealer Partner f\u00fcr uns&#8220;, erkl\u00e4rt Dr. Harald Hasselmann, Vorstandsmitglied der Eckert &amp; Ziegler AG und verantwortlich f\u00fcr das Segment Medizin. &#8222;In den kommenden Jahren wird sich die Gallium-68-basierte Diagnostik noch st\u00e4rker durchsetzen als heute. Gallium-Generatoren bieten eine kosteng\u00fcnstige Alternative f\u00fcr die Radiomarkierung von Biomolek\u00fclen mit Gallium-68 in der PET, einer bildgebenden Untersuchungsmethode zum Nachweis des Vorhandenseins oder der Abwesenheit von krankem Gewebe. Die PET-Bildgebung wird vor allem bei der Diagnose von Krebs, Herzinfarkt oder neurologischen Erkrankungen eingesetzt. Radioisotope wie Fluor-18 k\u00f6nnen alternativ verwendet werden, erfordern aber Investitionen in Millionenh\u00f6he in Gro\u00dfger\u00e4te (Zyklotrone).
