It is announced today that BEBIG Medical GmbH has completed the acquisition of Wolf-Medizintechnik GmbH (“WOmed”) from Eckert & Ziegler today to further expand its product portfolio in radiation therapy for cancer treatment.
WOmed, a Germany based company, is a global veteran supplier of cutting edge X-ray therapy and newly developed intraoperative radiation therapy products.
Since acquiring the corresponding business of Eckert & Ziegler, BEBIG Medical is a global provider of high dose rate brachytherapy products with an outstanding reputation in the radiation therapy industry.
Mr. George Chan, the managing director of BEBIG Medical said, “BEBIG Medical’s main objective is to be a global key supplier for radiation therapy products. This acquisition further expands our product portfolio with a series of X-ray therapy devices for treatment of superficial skin tumors and joint disease as well as a newly developed intraoperative radiation therapy device for breast cancer treatment.
