Production Facilities for Every Radionuclide
As a specialist in radionuclide handling and manufacturing, we cover a broad portfolio of production facilities for common radionuclides in nuclear medicine, corresponding radiopharmaceuticals, and beyond – for alpha, beta, and gamma emitters, GMP-compliant and precisely tailored to user requirements.
Projects range from standalone modules for separating radionuclides from irradiated target material to complete production facilities for commercial or industrial manufacturing. We offer large-scale production lines with column sterilization technology for batch sizes of 100–350 units, as well as modernized aseptic filling systems for more than 100 units per batch. Shielding is individually designed – from medium to high activities.
Our facilities are built on decades of experience in handling radioactive material. Hot cells and equipment are consistently adapted to the specific requirements of each customer. We also provide consulting support for the setup of new production sites and the integration of new lines into existing structures – always with radiation protection and GMP compliance as the highest priority.

To meet the growing demand for alpha emitters in targeted alpha therapy, Isotope Technologies Dresden GmbH (ITD) offers leading technology for the large-scale production of ²²⁵Ac as an active pharmaceutical ingredient (API). For both the production route [²²⁶Ra(γ,n)²²⁵Ra → ²²⁵Ac] and [²²⁶Ra(p,2n)²²⁵Ac], ITD delivers the complete package – from target fabrication and irradiation station to target processing and Rn retention.
Tailored to Your Requirements
ITD develops individual production lines for established and emerging radionuclides as well as corresponding radiopharmaceuticals – from standalone separation modules to industrial-scale production systems, with custom shielding options for medium to high activities. Completed projects include turnkey solutions for ⁹⁹Mo/⁹⁹ᵐTc generators as well as ¹³¹I from reactor-irradiated TeO₂ targets.
